Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
Hello Dear Friend, and Welcome.
This spot here is a place for me to share a little about myself and my family, but honestly, I wish this could be your page.
Your story is the one I want to tell. I believe there is great power when people say, “Me too”. That is why I was compelled by the Lord to start this blog after our third miscarriage. It was all the sweet Mama’s coming to my house saying, “Me too,” as they loved on my family in a very hard time.
You see, I know a few things about traumatic life events. I know how they ravage your heart and leave behind wounds that take years to heal. I know…because even now, I see the devastating effects in my own marriage and ability to parent my children because I am still walking wounded.
I want to share stories of hope, from myself and others, of how we overcame the grief of loss; how we overcame sexual abuse; how we overcame substance abuse; how we overcame emotional abuse and became living testimonies of the love of God to our families and those we come into contact with.
But, as for me…for the last 10 years I have stayed at home and worked full time as a photographer. We have a cattle farm that my husband works full time while also working together to manage a Vacation Retreat business as well.
My husband and I are ministers and we met in a rather unusual way while training for a mission trip to Nepal. Our team trained 5 months to prepare for that trip and during that time, God clearly showed Mike and I that we were to be married. We jumped in with both feet even though we had never dated.
God blended our families together and we have 2 that are his, one that is mine and 2 that are ours with 3 babies in heaven and occasionally a foster child in our home as well.
In this little space, I hope to share my heart vulnerably and honestly with each and every one that comes here looking for hope and healing. I hope to share other mothers stories of how they overcame the trauma’s that life brought them to become the wives and mothers they wanted to be. And I hope to be a resource for family members and friends who want to better support someone that is in the midst of their sorrow.
I am so thankful you are here! Always know you can reach out and I will be happy to listen! If you want to contribute your story, please do so we can talk!!
